《不肯去观音》剧情简介
唐朝，梅岑山秘色瓷艺人余秀为体弱多病的光王李怡烧制护身观音宝像供奉于五台山。宝像制成时，他捡到一个女婴，于是抱养回家为其取名为莲妹。人们说，女婴和观音宝像同来，是天意，是观音的人间示现。20年后莲妹长成楚楚动人的少女，乐善好施，慈悲待人，因为养父告诉她，所有的路人或许就是她的亲生父母。人们也说，莲妹善良的品格跟观音菩萨一样充满了慈悲。日本遣唐使慧萼入唐，在莲妹的帮助下，雨中求请秘色瓷观音座像，终于如愿。慧萼登船启航回日本，途经梅岑山时，海上突起风浪，慧萼和秘色瓷观音像落入海中。前来送行的莲妹纵身入海施救，自己却消失在风浪中。慧萼大悲，却见朵朵莲花顺流而来，将海船团团围住，铺成一片莲花的海洋。慧萼看见莲花中，莲妹冉冉升起，幻化为手持莲花的白衣观音！慧萼顿悟，于是他毅然决定将这座秘色瓷观音座像供奉于梅岑山。从此，普陀山开山，逐渐成为举世闻名的观音道场。
