影片执行制片人鲍强告诉记者，这部数字电影以“美人痣”为线索，讲述了一对农村男女到城市奋斗的故事，在经历过城市生活的种种冲击后，又返回了乡村。影片中虽然没有明星大腕，但整个剧组的班底却非常“硬朗”，编剧王凉的主要作品《押解的故事》《日出日落》等屡获国际大奖，而导演陆江曾荣获第十三届大学生电影节最佳导演奖。男主角由省人艺的管月扮演，女性女主角是曾在《桃花运》中出演若若的蒙亭宜。鲍强说：“整部影片其实只有四个主要演员，故事情节非常简单，但很耐人‘咀嚼’。”
