电影描写了八岁的藏族女孩格桑梅朵 在地震中失去了所有的亲人，因巨大 的心理创伤而失语，并失去对过去所 有的美好记忆。在西宁来的“结对”小 伙伴、电视台女记者及红十字会心理 医生的帮助下，最终格桑梅朵走出心 理阴影，脸上露出了幸福的笑容，开 口说话了，尽管只有短短几个字。
