科幻电影《超能水怪》以女主人公寻找父亲失踪之迷为故事线索，以高维空间里的变异生物在地球上危害地球生物作为切入点，讲述男女主人公为了守护一方安宁，与水怪以及贪婪的境外邪恶势力斗智斗勇的过程，从而激发起观众对如何保护自身生存环境、如何正确对待科学研究的深刻反省与深度思考。
