都说上司是员工永远的敌人，可是对于汤姆（阿什顿·库彻AshtonKutcher饰）来说，那个不苟言笑的男人除了是自己的上司外，还有着另外一个身份。汤姆只是一届平凡的小员工，可他竟然对老板的女儿丽莎泰勒（塔拉·雷德TaraReid饰）一见钟情，虽然明知是在玩火，可执着的汤姆却无法控制自己的感情。\r\n 一个千载难逢的机会来临了，外出有事的老板将照看房子的工作托付给了汤姆，这样一来，汤姆就将和丽莎单独相处一整晚！为了给丽莎一个良好的印象，汤姆做了万全的准备。谁知道，现实并没有计划的那样完美，各路的可疑分子似乎是约好了一样接二连三的前来拜访，最后甚至在房子里玩起了枪战，看着被弄得乱七八糟的房子，可怜的汤姆该如何向老板交代呢？
