奥利弗的梦想是成为一名歌手，可是，才华满满的他却似乎总是不走运，白白错失了很多成名的机会，至今默默无闻。女儿安娜贝尔（玛拉·威尔逊 Mara Wilson 饰）将父亲的努力都看在眼里，相信世界上有魔法存在的她向仙女寻求帮助，哪知道求来了一个对法术并不是很精通的仙童莫瑞。
莫瑞虽然有心想要帮助奥利弗和安娜贝尔，可是能力有限，往往弄巧成拙惹出一对的大麻烦。与此同时，邪恶的魔女克劳迪亚（黛博拉·奥黛儿 Deborah Odell 饰）重活了自由，为了称霸世界，她偷走了所有的魔杖，可百密一疏把莫瑞手上的那一根给漏掉了，就这样，莫瑞成为了拯救世界的最后希望。
